London’s newest outdoor street food spot, The Hawk’s Nest, is the place to see out the summer.
Step through a beautiful bird’s nest installation and into a hidden garden, filled with foliage and fab food.
Nestled beneath a converted railway arch in Shepherd’s Bush, The Hawk’s Nest is home to Italian street food specialists SUGO, who will be serving up the likes of arancini, calamari and stone baked sourdough pizzas.
There’ll also be an all-important cocktail bar mixing up fresh fruit margaritas, summer spritzers, frozen cocktails and lots of lovely wines and craft beers. The highlight has to be the Blood Orange Margaritas, though—especially as they’re only a fiver on Margarita Mondays.
You can also expect some wicked live music, with a weekly programme of jazz nights and DJ sets. Moreover, a rotating exhibition featuring work by brilliant artists, the first being Annie Rose Fiddian-Green with a series of gorgeous figure drawings.
Co-Founder of The Hawk’s Nest, Frazer Timmerman, said: “As locals to the area, we felt that Shepherd’s Bush was really missing the kind of social space that is so popular across East and South London. We decided to take matters into our own hands to create the perfect outdoor spot for group bookings and celebrations in an overlooked corner of Shepherd’s Bush Market. There is nothing like it in the area and we hope it is going to be a very welcome addition to the neighbourhood.”
There’ll be a tempting offer of any pizza and a house drink for just £10 Monday to Thursday, 4–7pm and Friday to Sunday, 12–4pm. And, of course, you’ll be able to order your food and drinks to the table via a COVID-friendly QR code system.
